Astellas Pharma Co Ltd is once again delighted to announce its second annual Run for a Life Fun Run in aid of organ transplantation research & facilities in Ireland. This year’s event is taking place at Corkagh Park in Dublin on Saturday, September 18th.
And this year, we are also pleased to announce the Irish Kidney Association (IKA), Ireland’s leading charitable voluntary organisation dedicated to meeting the needs of renal patients and their families and carers, will be our official partners for the Run for Life 2010.
The Run for A Life has one main objective: to raise funds and to raise awareness for organ transplantation facilities and issues in Ireland. While just starting out as a fun run event, Astellas aspires to have the Run for A Life event become bigger and better each year. We hope that one day the Run for A Life event will be the charity fun run event for everyone to participate in, but we need your help to get there!
Last year at the inaugural Run for A Life fun run over 150 people took part and more than €6,000 was raised by our plucky runners and volunteers. These funds were donated to the IKA and to a number of transplant facilities in Ireland.
For this year’s event, we promise a great day out for runners of all levels and we guarantee a great family day as well. We’ll have three separate races to cater for runners, joggers and walkers of all experience levels, and plenty of entertainment for families, their friends and supporters.
Our target this year is to raise €10,000 and have 200+ people run, walk or jog the event. You, your friends, your family and your colleagues can register to take part and can help us reach our target. And by helping us reach our target, you are helping to raise awareness and funds for a vital cause. So get started and register your details by clicking on the orange register tab!
Warmest regards,
