Run for a Life today. Help change someone’s tomorrow.

The Run for a Life event is in its third year.  Managed by the Irish Kidney Association and sponsored by Astellas Pharmaceutical, this year’s event will take place in Parkwest, Dublin 12 on Sunday, October 23rd to coincide with the European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation.

We look forward to welcoming you to this celebration of life through sport and we are planning a great afternoon for walkers, joggers, runners and their families.

The prime role of the Irish Kidney Association (IKA) is to support patients and their families effected by end stage kidney disease and are either being treated by dialysis or have a working kidney transplant.  As the only organisation representing the views of Irish kidney patients, the IKA continually lobbies at all levels on their behalf.

The Run for A Life has two main objectives.  Namely, to promote the organ donor card by raising awareness of the value and success of organ donation and transplantation and to raise funds to support the IKA in its on-going work.

This year we have introduced a new event, the Team relay.  This will involve three runners, each of whom will run one lap of the course.  It will be a great opportunity for work colleagues, friends, club mates, family to get involved together and enjoy the day!  Why not organise your own team t-shirts for the day?

Take the first step and register TODAY by clicking on the orange register tab!  Encourage your family and friends to register also and start your training!

Warmest regards,

Mark Murphy,
Chief Executive,
Irish Kidney Association.
